Change Behavior of Single-tap
Change Behavior of Single-tap
Now I realize up front that this may be a matter of preference, but I am thinking that there should be an option to change or disable the auto-move feature when a card is single-tapped. True, the current arrangement is convenient, as it saves taps. But sometimes I'd prefer to have to really think about my next move, rather than just being able to be lazy, and mindlessly click a card and have it move for me ;-) If it's feasible, maybe add a preference option to enable/disable this?
On a related note... Maybe alternately, single-tapping a card could 'highlight' the card (or stack), so that you could do a second tap on the pile you'd like to move it to, which would then move the card/cards. This would also be an alternative to dragging the card, which sometimes requires adjusting your hand on the phone in order to be able to make that long drag across the touchscreen without accidentally letting go.
What do you think? Are these things feasible? Are they reasonable? I'd love to see them implemented if you feel that they are.
PS - not to suck up ;-) but I am extremely impressed not only with the quality and attention to detail in the App itself, but the level of commitment you show in your support for the app! Not many developers show that level of caring! It's refreshing - Thank You!
Re: Change Behavior of Single-tap
bokEck,
Thanks for your suggestion (and your nice comments :-o )
I think you make a good point about the single-tap behaviour. We would like to cater for people with different requirements, so I think that adding a preference would be a good idea. How about this:
"Single Tap Behaviour" - Action taken when single tapping on a card:
o Auto move card to it's destination (default), OR
o Tap once to select a card, tap again to choose destination
Tapping on the table background will cancel a selection in progress.
In all cases, you can manually drag a card to it's destination if you wish.
How does that sound?
ps Sorry it's taken me a few days to reply, I've been on holiday in Malaysia :-)
