I've just tried it myself, and indeed, if the foundation card is an ace, I can't place a king on an ace in the tableau. This is indeed a bug, and I will fix it for the next release.
However, when a king is the foundation card, I can place a king on an ace in the tableau with no problem. If you have a game where it still doesn't work with the king as the base foundation card, can you email me a copy of the game please? This is how you go about it:
1) While playing the game where you see the problem, select the menu option "Save game to SD Card".
2) Take a copy the file on your SD Card called "patience_revisited.state", and email that to me.
That way, I can see exactly what game you were playing, and try and reproduce and debug the issue myself.
