I'm glad you like our humble attempt at porting Patience Revisited to Android. Like yourself, I was a big fan of the Palm version, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was open source, and the author was very helpful when I asked if I could port it to Android.

Why network communications? A couple of reasons:

* There is a 'visit website' link and a 'latest news' link in the menu, both of which connect to patience-revisited.com and display pages from the website.

* If the app should crash for any reason, the next time it starts it asks the user if they want to send a copy of the crash log to us for analysis. It's optional, but we have been able to use this information to spot and fix a few nasty bugs that have slipped through the cracks.
