    Card Spacing in Landscape View

    Card Spacing in Landscape View

This is just getting nit-picky, and is just a cosmetic issue - so feel free to ignore me on this one.

I couldn't help but notice that when I change the card size to small or medium, there is a lot of empty space on either side of the cards in landscape mode (in Klondike, for example).  The cards are still packed together in the middle of the screen, leaving quite a bit of unused screen real-estate on both sides.  This might have been an intentional aesthetic decision on your part, maybe because it looks better this way, or is easier to use, or some other reason I'm overlooking.  I admit that I haven't seen the layout any differently, and it may turn out to look/work horribly if it were spread out.

Just a thought on my part, and I'll leave it up to your more informed/experienced judgment.

    bokEck,

I understand what you mean about the empty space on either side of the cards in landscape mode. I had the same thought myself, that there is a lot of unused space on either side, and tried a few things to see what would look best:

    1) Increase spacing between cards - When I tried this, it looked just plain weird. The eye is immediately drawn to the gaps between the cards and you find yourself asking "Why is there so much space between the cards?"

    2) Increase width of cards - With wide cards, they don't look like cards as all as they are too fat. If you increase the width, and there is not enough screen height to increase the card height as well, the cards look fat.

So, overall, a gap on each side seems to look best. Feel free to experiment, and post some screen mockups here if you like.

    Thanks for your feedback!

    Hey,
After looking at it a bit more, I think you'e right - keeping the space on the outside of the cards is most likely the best option.  But hey, thanks for listening - I appreciate it!
