    New release v1.1.0

    This is the release we have all been waiting for!! Four new games: TriPeaks, Pyramid, Scorpion and Black Widow. Those first three have been added by popular demand, and the last one, Black Window, is a variation of Spider, which is a nice gently introduction to a very challenging game, by having only one suit ie "one-suit-Spider".

    Also, a new menu item, "Game options" has been added. Fo some games, there may be different alternative rules, eg with TriPeaks there is one option where a King stops play - neither an Ace nor a Queen can be placed on a King.

    Another menu item, "Auto Play" has been added, which allow auto play to look for a series of easy moves which it will play automatically. This is a nice feature which comes in handy when you are reaching the end of Klondike and want to see all the final moves happen auto-magically :-)

    Work has finished on Pyramid, TriPeaks, Scorpion and Black Widow. Game Options are mostly done, the main thing left is testing - there have been some big changes to accommodate some of these games, so before we release we must test, test, test!

    The Pyramid game is working well now, I just need to add the rules page and the game options. So far we haven't needed many game options, but Pyramid has three different sets of options: number of redeals, number of stocks used (1 or 3) and also what you need to do to win (clear the cards in the pyramid or clear all cards). When that's done I'll look at adding Tripeaks (similar to Golf), Scorpion (similar to Spider and Yukon), Black Widow (1-suit Spider) so it looks like the next release will be a major one, v1.1.0.

    I've also had some requests for some new features, we'll add those onto the list, and see if we can include them in the next release as well :-)

     

    Version 1.0.2 released

    The main reason for this release was to fix a bug where the screen would sometimes go blank on a screen rotate (ouch! hopefully we won't get any more of those!)

    Also, many new preferences options have been added, so you have more choice configuring the user interface.

    Here's a list of the new things added:

    • An 'Exit' button added to the menus, which can be turned on or off in preferences. Note that the 'Home' button also exits!
    • Golf will now deal five rows of cards by default (ie standard Golf), rather than four. (Can change in preferences)
    • The 'Back' button can be set to 'Undo last move' or 'exit' (Can change in preferences)
    • The haptic feedback (vibration) can be turned on and off in preferences
    • Dealing animations can be disabled in preferences

    At the moment I'm working on adding new games, so first in the queue is Pyramid ...

     

    Version 1.0.1 released

    The new version has been released, with the major change being bigger cards. This can be changed in the preferences, so you can use whichever sizing method suits you best.

    Also the Return key will now undo the last move. To exit the game, just press the Home key.

    Some people seem to be experiencing crashes, we are trying to find out more about why this happens, and will fix it as soon as we possibly can.
